TOLAS

The TOLAS for OpenVMS resource pages are still far from complete. I hope to post more details here soon, assuming I ever get the time.

TOLAS is, or should that be was, an integrated solution for the supply chain (their words not mine). Unfortunately TOLAS is now considered a legacy product by the people that own the rights to it. Indeed, when referring to the original product, I would have to agree. However, it remains a flexible and useful solution and, as it was supplied with the source code, there are still a number of companies (that I am aware of) who still use and develop the application.

If you don't know what TOLAS is then I doubt that you will find anything here to interest you, but please feel free to read on.

TELLIB: TOLAS Extension Library

The TOLAS Extension Library, TELLIB, is a library that I have developed over the years to extend the capabilities of the application.

The library started life in the early 90's when it was used to introduce a set of routines to implement data warehousing. More recently the library has been extended to incorporate various Internet technologies into TOLAS such as support for FTP, e-mail and web.

If you would like a demonstration of the web components then try the Product Search. The search uses the library to manage both the connection with the web server and for the production of HTML output.
