e-mail Restrictions.
The following restrictions are placed on incoming e-mail in order to reduce the amount of 'SPAM', and other undesirable e-mails, we receive.
Domain Blocking. Messages are blocked with an SMTP error stating 'Junk mail not accepted' when sent from a domain that is in our block list. The block list is maintained internally and we do not use external sources. If a domain is being blocked it is because we have had excessive spam from the domain.
Messages blocked with an SMTP error stating 'Unsafe mail source rejected' have been relayed through open mail relays from which we have received excessive spam.
Messages that pass the SMTP checks are then subject to the following restrictions:
Any e-mail that consists of a non plain text body component, HTML format messages for example. are unconditionally deleted by the mail server. This does not effect text messages that have HTML or other attachments.
Any messages found to match the rules in our spam-filter are deleted. Therefore messages that contain words like viagra will not be delivered.
Any attachments found to contain viruses are stripped from the message.
Attachments that can not be scanned for viruses, such as encrypted data, is deemed to be a virus and treated accordingly.
Attachments that are executable in nature are removed.
If an e-mail is deleted for any of the reasons described above then no notification is issued to the 'alleged' sender of an e-mail.
In addition. No response, unless required by law, will be issued to any e-mail which contains threatening, abusive, malicious, obscene, defamatory or otherwise illegal material. EnVision Software reserve the right to take such action as we, in our sole discretion, deem fit in respect of such material.
If you have any comments about these policies, or are experiencing problems sending legitimate e-mail to us then please contact us on ![]()
